It's Official — Texas AI Consulting Is VetHUB Certified

March 12, 2026 — a date I'll never forget.

Today, I received the letter from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Texas AI Consulting, LLC is officially VetHUB certified by the State of Texas.

I sat with that letter for a while before I could even process it. Not because it was unexpected — I'd been working toward it since the day I filed my LLC. But because of what it means. What it represents. And the road it took to get here.

A Lifetime of Service

I've spent my entire adult life in service. That's not something I say lightly — it's just the truth.

At seventeen years old, I raised my right hand and swore an oath to defend this country. I served 21 years in the United States Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard. I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan — three combat deployments total. I flew aeromedical evacuation missions as a Flight Nurse with the 459th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, caring for wounded warriors inside cargo aircraft at altitude, with limited equipment, making life-or-death decisions that couldn't wait.

For that service, I was awarded the Air Force Air Medal.

While I wore the uniform, I also maintained a full-time civilian nursing career — twenty years at the bedside, caring for families in their most vulnerable moments. Emergency departments. ICUs. Progressive care units. I worked in the places most people never want to see — and I did it willingly, because that's who I am.

Service is not something I did. It's something I am.

When I founded Texas AI Consulting on January 28, 2026, I wasn't just starting a business. I was answering a call. The same kind of call I answered when I enlisted. The same kind of call I answered every time I walked into a patient's room.

This time, the call came from Texas.

The State of Texas created the VetHUB (Veteran Historically Underutilized Business) program to recognize veteran-owned businesses and give them a seat at the table for state contracting opportunities. Texas recently restructured the entire HUB program, significantly tightening eligibility requirements. Being certified means something real — it means you've been vetted, validated, and recognized by the great State of Texas.

And now, Texas AI Consulting holds that certification.

I'm not going to lie — when I read that letter, I got emotional. Because this isn't just a piece of paper. This is the State of Texas saying, "We see your service. We value it. And we want you at the table."

That means everything to a veteran.

I'll be honest with you — this feels like the beginning of the most important chapter of my life.

My military career taught me leadership, discipline, and how to perform under pressure when lives are on the line. My nursing career taught me compassion, critical thinking, and what it means to show up for people when they need you most. My training in AI engineering and full-stack development gave me the tools to build solutions that can change outcomes at scale.

All of those threads — every deployment, every night shift, every line of code — they all come together right here. In this moment. In this company.
