AI for Oracle/PLSQL

Draft and improve a PL/SQL routine, then check it against a synthetic training schema.

Your practical result

A tested PL/SQL routine, sample test cases and validation notes explaining its behavior.

The outline below is built around this result. Final tools and setup instructions will be confirmed with the session details before registration opens.

Who this is for

Oracle developers and database teams with working SQL and introductory PL/SQL knowledge.

What you’ll practice

  • Give an assistant schema context without exposing production data.
  • Check a generated routine against explicit business rules and edge cases.
  • Explain correctness and execution observations using evidence from the training lab.

Your two-hour workshop outline

A guided demonstration, a substantial build exercise, and time to check the result. Times are approximate and include discussion.

  1. 0–10 min

    Read the schema and rules

Understand the synthetic order data and the routine we want to produce.

  2. 10–30 min

    Draft with explicit context

Demonstrate schema-aware prompting and inspect a generated PL/SQL draft.

  3. 30–45 min

    Define the test cases

Choose normal, empty and invalid inputs and state expected transaction behavior.

  4. 45–85 min

    Build and test the routine

Compile the routine, run the cases and revise the implementation from observed results.

  5. 85–105 min

    Inspect execution behavior

Review exception handling, transaction boundaries and the available execution evidence.

  6. 105–120 min

    Document the result

Save the routine, test cases and limitations for a human database review.

Before you attend

  • Comfort with SQL, database transactions and basic PL/SQL routines.
  • Complete the supplied lab connection check before the workshop. All practice data is synthetic.

Tools and access

A verified Oracle training environment and SQL client are required. Lab provision, connection details and any account requirements must be confirmed before the session opens; do not assume a database license is included.

Delivery platform, location or joining instructions will be published with each confirmed session. Use practice material you have permission to share.

Your instructor

Elliott Lamboy

Elliott teaches these Texas AI Consulting workshops. The session is designed around a guided example, your own practice, and a review of the work produced.

Questions before you join

Will we connect to a production database?

No. The exercise is designed for an isolated training schema with synthetic data. Production deployment and tuning require separate review.

When is the next session, and what does it cost?

Dates and fees are coming soon. The planned window is Friday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. America/Chicago. Ask about availability below; an inquiry does not reserve a seat.

What will be confirmed before I register?

The session date, fee, capacity, delivery platform, exact software requirements, and cancellation/refund terms will be available before registration opens. Recording or replay access is not currently promised.

Can my team request a private workshop?

Yes. Choose “A private group workshop” in the inquiry form and describe your goal or group size. Elliott can discuss availability and fit.
